Welcome to Galesville Elementary, the proud home of the Red Hawks! Our school is a vibrant, family-centered learning environment nestled in the beautiful community of Galesville, Wisconsin. As a dedicated two-section 4K through 5th-grade school, we combine small-school personalized attention with a big-hearted commitment to helping every student thrive.
We believe that an inspiring environment shapes an inspiring education. Originally constructed in 1970, our school building underwent an extensive, multi-year modernization from 2014 to 2020 to better serve our growing crew of explorers. Today, Galesville Elementary offers:
Updated Comfort: Fully modernized electrical and HVAC systems provide an optimal climate for learning year-round.
Enclosed Library Space: Our newly enclosed library provides a beautiful, dedicated harbor for imagination, technology, and a lifelong love of literature.
20-Acre Outdoor Classroom: Beyond the school walls, our students enjoy an expansive 20-acre green space, complete with a nature trail and a community garden where hands-on science comes to life.
At Galesville Elementary, your child is never just a face in the crowd. We provide a tailored educational journey backed by a passionate, highly qualified teaching staff.
Data-Driven Instruction: Our educators regularly conduct collaborative grade-level "data digs" to continuously measure academic trends, map out individual student growth, and ensure every student gets what they need to grow.
Act 20 Literacy Framework: We purposefully build foundational reading skills through tailored Act 20 reading plans designed specifically for our K-3 learners.
GE Reads! We make literacy an adventure! Through our signature monthly "GE Reads" celebrations, staff and students demonstrate that reading is enjoyable absolutely anywhere—even out on the playground or riding the school bus.
We are proud to utilize comprehensive Response to Intervention (RtI) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks to cultivate a safe, compassionate, and positive learning climate. Every day, our Red Hawks soar by practicing three simple, unified expectations:
We are safe.
We are respectful.
We are responsible.
To support the whole child, our students also benefit from the regular, dedicated on-site support of our school guidance counselor and school psychologist.
We know that education is a team sport. Our strong community ties shine through our highly active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and record-breaking family events like our annual Loved Ones Breakfast. Whether volunteering in the classroom or cheering from the sidelines, our families are the heartbeat of our school.
