As the opening credits roll and the excitement builds, I am thrilled to welcome you all back to another blockbuster year here at Galesville Elementary! Get ready to grab your popcorn, because this year is going to be filled with action-packed adventures, heartwarming moments, and unforgettable memories. Just like in the movies, each one of you is a unique star with your own talents, dreams, and potential waiting to shine on the big screen of life as you showcase our mission of Learning for all, learning for life. Our school is not just a building; it's a stage where you can explore, learn, and grow into the incredible individuals you are meant to be. Below are some helpful details to get the year started off great!
Registration & Open House
Most of this will be completed online but please come to our building during the time below for the opportunity to take school pictures, pay for milk or lunch, iPad insurance, and to meet our teaching staff while touring your new classroom! Remember to bring your checkbook.
Wednesday, August 21st from 2-6 PM
Launch Days
We will again be utilizing the first 3 days as Launch Days to help students transition into the new year. Half of the students will attend the first day, half the second, and then all on the third day. These days give everyone a chance to learn routines and expectations in a smaller group setting.
Tuesday, August 27th - Students with last names of A-K attend
Wednesday, August 28th - Students with last names of L-Z attend
Thursday, August 29th - All students attend
*4K will have parent/student meetings on August 27th & August 28th and then all students will attend on the 29th.
School Supplies
Aside from any grade-specific requests (which will be noted in your teacher’s welcome letter), you will only be responsible for providing your child with a backpack and headphones to use with their iPad. Water bottles are also encouraged.
