This semester’s Read with Wilber event was a heartwarming celebration of learning, kindness, and creativity! Principal Wilber shared a special read-aloud of Just Because by Academy Award-winning actor and bestselling author Matthew McConaughey. Filled with humor and wisdom, the book encourages readers of all ages to embrace life’s possibilities and find meaning in every moment.
After the story, students engaged in meaningful activities that brought the book’s message to life. Our kindergarteners created self-portraits on puzzle pieces, symbolizing how each of them is a unique and important part of our school community. First through fifth graders worked together on community posters focused on kindness and social-emotional learning, reinforcing the power of empathy and positive connections.
Seeing students collaborate and reflect on these themes was truly inspiring. Thank you to everyone who participated in making Read with Wilber a memorable and impactful experience!
