Students came dressed in their brightest neon colors, and they transformed their classroom with black lights and glowing activities all day long! They practiced reading with flashlights, reviewed their "glowing" math skills, and completed lots of fun glow-themed learning activities.
The students showed great teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm while making learning extra bright and memorable. Such a fun way to celebrate all of the hard work they’ve put in this year! 😎✨. #galesvillepride

Today, our hallways were filled with high-fives, big smiles, and a few happy tears as the Galesville Elementary Class of 2026 came back home for their traditional Senior Walk! 🎒➡️🎓

What an incredible day at Galesville Elementary! Our hearts are full after seeing such an amazing turnout for the return of our family picnic. Between the beautiful weather and the even better company, today was a perfect reminder of why our Red Hawk community is so special. We are so incredibly proud of all our Red Hawks who participated in the district spelling bee yesterday at the PAC! It takes a tremendous amount of courage and hard work to stand on that stage, and every single one of our competitors represented our district with grit and excellence. A massive shout out to Emily Oliver and Selisa Erickson for spearheading this event.

On Tuesday morning, the Galesville Elementary kindergarten classes took a short walk over to Zion Lutheran Church to spend some time with the Zion Lutheran Quilters. The students got to see firsthand how these kind-hearted ladies turn donated fabric into all kinds of beautiful quilts.
The students were wide-eyed at just how many quilts come together each Tuesday morning down in the church basement. Every stitch has a purpose—these quilts are shared with the police department, first responders, and the fire department to help folks going through tough times. Some even make their way to other parts of the country, spreading a little warmth and kindness wherever they land. #galesvillepride

Our 4K explorers, led by Ms. Schock's creativity, took on a legendary STEAM challenge this week! After reading the classic tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, our young engineers put their thinking caps on to help the goats cross safely.
Using a variety of materials, students designed and built their own bridges. They had to consider:
Stability: Will it hold the weight of a goat?
Design: Is it high enough to keep the troll underneath?
Creativity: How can we make it sturdy and strong?

A huge Red Hawk "Thank You" to our fantastic guest readers, including Mr. Oliver and Mr. Peterson, for sharing their time and love of reading with our adventurers today!
But the fun didn't stop at the books. It was also Vocab Dress-Up Day, and our students and staff truly outdid themselves! We saw some incredible (and educational!) representations, including:
