This month, we celebrated another round of Red Hawk heroes. These special students are celebrated for exemplifying what it means to be safe, respectful and responsible at Galesville Elementary. #GalesvillePride.


Our 5th graders put their creativity and engineering skills to the test as they designed, built, and launched straw rockets with Mr. Kamrowski. This hands-on STEAM activity challenged students to apply science, technology, engineering, art, and math as they explored force, motion, and aerodynamics. #Galesvillepride




Second graders worked on their engineering skills today. They were challenged to make a tall and sturdy structure to “save” marshmallows that have been trapped up high under the lead STEAM direction of Mr. Kamrowski. #galesvillepride




Galesville Elementary students are actively engaged in Penny Wars this week. This fundraiser will help supply additional funds to our summer food program and weekend food bags. #Galesvillepride



Third graders are enjoying reading while building their comprehension skills in the classroom. #GalesvillePride



Today fourth graders from the district traveled to Gale Lanes for a bowling experience that reviewed their physical education bowling skills, including rolling, scoring, and taking turns in a team environment. In addition, students used their subtraction skills to hand score their hard work.










Our 4th graders put their measurement skills to the test! For their math unit on measurement, students explored the building, measuring objects to the nearest centimeter, inch, foot, and yard. From classroom doors to hallway tiles, they made real-world connections while having fun with math! #galesvillepride





This morning, our Red Hawk Heroes walked the red carpet at Galesville Elementary’s Hollywood Premiere Breakfast! These superstar students were honored for their award-winning performances in being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible—the true mark of PBIS excellence! Students at Galesville Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school with a variety of a learning activities involving counting, estimating, building and so much more. #GalesvillePride.






This semester’s Read with Wilber event was a heartwarming celebration of learning, kindness, and creativity! Students engaged in meaningful activities that brought the book’s message to life. Our kindergarteners created self-portraits on puzzle pieces, symbolizing how each of them is a unique and important part of our school community. First through fifth graders worked together on community posters focused on kindness and social-emotional learning, reinforcing the power of empathy and positive connections.








Future Red Hawks joined friends and family at Galesville Elementary tonight to register for next year's 4K classes. Students got to snap a special photo and tour a 4K classroom while meeting some of our wonderful 4K staff. #GalesvillePride

Galesville Elementary kindergarten students were treated to a special visit from local quilter and retired G-E-T teacher, Barb Longwell! Students had the exciting opportunity to sew a small pocket using her cherished childhood antique sewing machine.
This hands-on experience not only introduced our young learners to the art of quilting but also reinforced fine motor skills, patience, and creativity. Thank you, Mrs. Longwell, for connecting the past to the present and inspiring our students to explore their creativity! ❤️ #galesvillepride



What an incredible afternoon we had on Monday during our GE Reads event! 🏫✨ Students and staff joined together to celebrate the joy of reading with engaging read-alouds across the school. From cozy corners in the principal's office to a lively gathering in the staff lounge, the building was buzzing with the sounds of stories coming to life!

Mr. Lee, who had students captivated with his animated storytelling,
A couple of brave and talented student readers, who shared a bilingual book about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., inspiring us all with a message of courage and equality,
Ms. Wina from the Galesville Public Library, who brought her enthusiasm and expertise to the event, showing students just how magical books can be!
